LAUBRICK, Mary Jane – Of Fenton, age 88, died Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Vicinia Gardens.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1pm Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Father Ken Coughlin officiating.
Visitation 11am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Mary Jane was born in Flint, Michigan, at her parent’s residence on March 16, 1936, the daughter of the late Hubert and Crescence (Kinsman) Hermann. She was a graduate of the Class of 1954, from Flint Technical High School. She married the love of her life, Leon Wesley Laubrick, on September 9, 1954. Mary Jane enjoyed bowling, music, playing cards, building puzzles, vacations, and going to the casinos. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Flint Community Choir and participated in Handel’s Messiah Choir. Mary Jane never shied away from a large bowl of ice cream.
Surviving are children, Vicki Laubrick and partner Peg Matthews of Saugatuck, MI, Larry (Susan) Laubrick of Fenton, MI, Bob (Stephanie Hall) Laubrick of Park Hills, KY, and Stephanie (Harry) Fischer of Rockford, MI;
Grandchildren, Molly (Mark) Betley, Theresa Laubrick, John Fischer, Claire Fischer, Danielle Hall, and Elias Hall;
Great-grandchildren, Parker Betley, Abigail Hall, and Mitchell Hall;
Sister-in-law, Ermie Hermann;
And several nieces and nephews, especially nephew, Jerry (Tammy) Knorr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Wesley Laubrick, brothers, Hubert Herman and John Hermann.
The family would like to thank the staff at Medical Team Hospice and Vicinia Gardens Intermediate Care for all their care, comfort, and support.
