CARPENTER, Wayne – of Mt. Morris Township, age 77, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2206. Cremation has taken place. A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Wayne was born in Flint on October 11, 1948, son of the late Harvey and Lelia (Wilcox) Carpenter. He graduated from Davison High School in 1966. He married Lois Ann (Conklin) Brisbane on June 6, 1981, in Davison. She predeceased him on September 9, 2023. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman, often found hunting, fishing or riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed woodworking. Wayne was longtime member of T.O.P.S. #0771. Wayne will long be remembered as a jokester who enjoyed laughing and brightening the day of others.
Wayne is survived by daughter, Shannon (Christopher) Boller; three step-children, Denice (Harry) Smith, William Brisbane II, Tracy Malone, Corey Carpenter; grandchildren, Craig (Samantha) Stornello, Tyler (Savanah) Boller, Harry (Shelby) Smith II, Jessica (Joshua) McDill, Cody (Meredith) Wood, Joshua Wood; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Pamela Crossen; special friend, Nancy Hampton; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents and his wife, Wayne was preceded in death by daughter, Kimberly Carpenter; two sisters, Waneta and Betty; and one brother, Harold “Pete” Baxter.
