HAYDEN, Marie H. – of Davison, MI, age 97, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Wellbridge of Grand Blanc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6340 Roberta St, Burton, MI 48509 at 12 PM, Friday, June 11, 2021; Rev. Fr. Denis Spitzley, celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Davison. The family will receive visitors 10 AM – 12 PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Outreach East.
Marie was born in Ecorse, MI on December 12, 1923, daughter of late Wirth and Harriet (Miller) Pickard. She married Ernest R. Hayden on May 5, 1945 in Davison, MI, and he preceded her in death on January 21, 1981. Marie was a Charter Member of Blessed Sacrament, serving as an officer in many different capacities including Altar Society, Steven’s Ministries, St. Pauline’s Guild and 50 and over club. Marie was a true matriarch and loved her family. She retired from GM after 40 years of service.
Marie is survived by her children, John Hayden, Nancy (John) Gellings, David (Joy) Hayden, Steven (Kim) Hayden, Thomas Hayden, Mark Hayden, Karen (Chris) Fron and Kathryn (Daniel) Graunstadt; 4 generations of grandchildren; siblings, Delano (Joyce) Pickard and Orville (Dawn) Pickard and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Dena Hayden.
