Julia "Julie" Teresa Kinzel
Age 95, of New Lothrop, Michigan, died on November 29, 2024 at Union Court in Chesaning, MI.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 11am at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Maple Grove. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2pm to 8pm at McGeehan Funeral Homes, New Lothrop Chapel and from 10am till the time of mass on Wednesday.
Julie was born on December 19, 1928 to Tony and Inez (Deltento) Catalano in St. Mary's, Pennsylvania. She married the love of her life, William Kinzel, on May 15, 1954. They shared 50 years of marriage before he predeceased her on June 8, 2004.
During her life, Julie loved baking and traveling back to her home town visiting her family there. She loved to watch the Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Tigers, when there wasn't a game on she would have one of her western movies on. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and was very proud of them all. She always had an open heart for everyone.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa Murphy (of Holly, MI), Jeanne (Dr. Carlos) Gutierrez (of Ann Arbor, MI), Dorie (Ed) Krupp (of New Lorthop, MI), Mary (Tim) Nelson (of Fenton, MI); 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; as well as many other loving family and friends.
Julie is preceded in death by her husband, William Kinzel; and her son, Paul Kinzel.
The Family would like to express their gratitude to Union Court and Amara Hospice for their excellent care.
