Retzloff, Mary Jane “Janie” of Swartz Creek, age 89, went to meet her Savior, whom she dearly loved, on August 26, 2022, at Courtyard Manor in Swartz Creek.
Funeral service will be at 1 PM Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Rod Knoerr officiating.
Those desiring may make contributions to Genesee Christian School, South Baptist Church or Carriage Town Ministries.
Visitation 11 AM until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Retzloff was born in Flint, Michigan, on March 27, 1933, the daughter of Alexander and Katharina Seifert.
She married Duane L. Retzloff on October 5, 1957, and they were married almost 40 years.
Mrs. Retzloff was a member of South Baptist Church and the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, canning, baking and reading, but most of all loved spending time with her family. She was a Godly example to her family and friends, and her memory will be cherished forever.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Laurie (Greg) Cole, Karen Retzloff and Diane (Ron) Rath;
11 grandchildren, Benjamin, Timothy, Bonnie, Hannah, Rebekah, Sarah, Melody, Natalia, Alexander, Spencer and Parker;
4 great grandchildren, Allie, Bradley, Brooke and Amira;
special sister Ruth Thomason; and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, devoted husband and cherished siblings, Leah, Odelia, Martha, Rachel, and David.
