Estelle graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1942. During World War II, she proudly contributed to the war effort by working at AC Spark Plug, supporting American industry during a pivotal time in history.
On February 21, 1956, she married the love of her life, Dean Kneisel. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and devotion. Estelle was most proud of her role as a stay-at-home mother, dedicating her life to caring for her family. She found great joy in creating a welcoming home and nurturing those she loved.
A member of Hope United Methodist Church, Estelle’s life reflected her strong sense of community and fellowship. She was deeply social and happiest when surrounded by others. Whether chatting with friends, sharing stories, or welcoming new faces, Estelle had a gift for making people feel at ease.
She had a special love for animals, especially her dogs, who brought her comfort and companionship throughout her life. In her later years, Estelle became well known at her assisted living community for gathering in the TV room, where she not only enjoyed the company of others but often led everyone in song. Her joyful spirit and willingness to start a tune brought smiles to residents and staff alike.
Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Myrtle LaCasse; her brother, Richard LaCasse; her sister, Velma Brozosky; her beloved husband, Dean Kneisel; and her son, James Kneisel.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Licquia (James) and Marilyn Lundene (Dennis); her granddaughter, Amber Keel (Jeffrey); her grandson, Matthew Licquia (Amber); her bonus granddaughters, Brianna Cherry and Emily Patchett (Galen); her great-grandchildren, Mattie Licquia, Dean Keel, and Declan Keel; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to her many friends and the compassionate caregivers at Cranberry Park/Oasis and Transitions Hospice for the kindness, dignity, and comfort they provided. A special and sincere thank you is given to Carson Goode, who went above and beyond in caring for Estelle in her final days, offering extraordinary support and compassion.
Estelle will be remembered for her loving heart, her vibrant social spirit, her devotion to family, and the songs she so happily shared. Her life was a blessing to all who knew her.
