Nancy was born to Trenton Charles Shearer and Marjorie Josephine Shearer on August 22, 1946 in
Cheboygan, Michigan. Her family moved to Genesee County soon after, and Nancy spent the rest of her
life here. Nancy graduated from Bentley High School in 1965. She was joined in marriage to Dennis Beals
on December 1, 1968 at the First Baptist Church of Davison. Nancy spent the early years of her marriage
caring for her 3 young daughters. Nancy would then go on to work for Mott Community College as a
custodian for 26 years and retiring in 2012. Nancy loved her work family as much as her real family and
kept in touch over the years. She will be dearly missed by many friends and neighbors. Nancy had a deep
love for all living things. She especially loved her many cats she had over the years and the dogs she had
befriended. Nancy enjoyed feeding and watching all the wildlife that came into the yard. She enjoyed
being outside and working in the garden when she could. More than anything, Nancy enjoyed spending
time with her family. Nancy was a sports enthusiast and an avid bowler.
Nancy is survived by her daughters: Carol Jenson (Matt) of Flushing, Sue Marinco (Matt) of Davison, and
Tina Burry (Mike) of Birmingham. Her loving grandchildren: Christopher (Cami), Rebecca, Matthew,
Devon, Lauren, Carly, Danielle, and Grace, and great granddaughter: Rylie. She also leaves her sisters:
Sharon Bracey (Jack), and Beverly Arnesen, and many nieces and nephews, and cousins as well as
several great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents
Trenton and Marjorie; brother: Trenton Shearer Jr. and sister in law Priscilla Shearer; brother in law:
Robert Arnesen.
The family would like to thank Aunt Bev for all the care she provided for Nancy the last couple of years
allowing her to remain in her home. Bev provided physical, mental, and emotional support to Nancy and
her daughters. The family would also like to thank the team from Heart to Heart Hospice. Dr.Rita Lang,
Andrea, Lisa, and the rest of the care team that always checking in, and making sure Nancy was happy
and comfortable. You were a true blessing. |
