Of Lake Alfred Florida formerly of Swartz Creek, MI age 79, died Tues., Feb. 4, 2014 at Winter Haven Hospital, Florida. A memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Heritage Hills Church, 5530 Runyan Lake Rd., in Fenton. Rev. Tom Hoose & Rev. Jim Thompson officiating. Cremation has already taken place. Robert “Bob” was born December 26, 1934, in Flint. Michigan. Bob was a lifetime member of Genesee Welfare Masonic Lodge No. 517 and a member of Teamsters Local 332 while driving for Complete Auto Transit. Most recently, prior to retirement, he was a Supervisor at Richfield Industries. Bob owned many businesses in his life including BOMAR Iron Works in Grand Blanc and Town & Country Twist Ice Cream Store in Swartz Creek along with several others. Bob’s passion was telling everyone he could about his Wyndham Timeshare Resort Ownership, taking friends & family to stay at the timeshares and how proud he was that he achieved his goal of becoming a platinum owner this year. He also enjoyed watching westerns, especially Gunsmoke. Bob loved helping people, enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was loved by many. Lovingly missed by his wife, Delores, children, Sheree (Steve) Hoose, Fenton, Sandy (Chris) Purdy, Davison, Robert (Heather) Gagnon, Fenton, Greg Gagnon, Conover, North Carolina and grandchildren, Matt (Christine), Stephenie (Greg), Ann, Brian, Ashley, Alan and 14 great grandchildren, Stephen, Robert, Taylor, Paige, Kennedy, Marshall, Allie, Trinity, Brian, Cassie, Alyssa, Jason, Madison and Sean. Robert had 5 stepchildren, Susan (Tony) Morton, Kim (LD) Walters, Cindy (Charles) Cassidy, Tim (Bev) Jolly and Dan (Becky) Jolly, 12 step grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Louis & Lena, brothers Paul, Ronald, sister Eileen, son Jeff and wife Marilyn. Bob will be missed & loved by all who knew him. |
