Korth, Charles Eugene “Chuck” - Of Grand Blanc, age 73, passed away peacefully at Hurley Medical Center as he went to live with Jesus on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. He was surrounded by his family as he made his journey to his heavenly home.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Friday, March 11, at Swartz Funeral Home located at 1225 West Hill Road in Flint, Michigan, with Memorial Service at noon. Pastor Kim Chitwood will serve as the officiant. A Memorial luncheon will be served at Central Church of the Nazarene immediately following the Memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Central Church of the Nazarene in Flint, MI.
Chuck was born in Flint, MI on October 17, 1948. Son of Elmer and Annie (Baker) Korth, Chuck grew up in Otter Lake and graduated from Lakeville High School.
Chuck made his career in the Insurance industry and was the owner of Employee Benefit Services Group.
Chuck was a very devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather and an inspiration to all who knew him. Chuck was a true family man, in every sense of the word.
Chuck’s hobbies included golfing, fishing, boating, playing euchre, and taking his family on trips to Disney World. Nothing pleased Chuck more than attending and photographing all of his kids’ and grandkids’ events. Chuck loved to arrive early to get the best seats. He was a faithful man of God, Sunday School Teacher and witness to many.
Chuck will be greatly missed.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janis (Clark) and daughters Heather (John) Heiberger, Holly (Kris) McGuire as well as his five treasured grandchildren: Anna, Kate, Michael, Addison, and Miles. Chuck is also survived by his brother Allen and sisters Judy and Gloria. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather Aubrey Chatters and step sister Nancy Haack.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the dedicated staff at Hurley Medical Center for all of their compassion and care.
