CRANK, Irene Elizabeth, age 72, of Burton, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at her daughter's home. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 10:00AM Saturday until time of service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Memorial donations may be made to McLaren Hospice, 1515 Cal Dr., Davison.
Irene was born March 25, 1942 in Flint, the daughter of the late Raymond and Julia (Gyorkos) Jimerfield. She married Ronald Crank in Flint in September of 1959. Ron and Irene were the proud owners of Crank’s Motel until retirement. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family. Irene had a gift for recognizing the good qualities in all people. Her door was always open for company. She kept a positive outlook in life and had a tender way of caring for others. Irene was a devoted wife, dedicated mother and grandmother, who loved unconditionally. She will be missed dearly and remembered forever. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Ron; son, Ronald Crank Jr. and wife, Deborah of Grand Blanc; daughter, Jamie Stevens and husband, Chuck of Oakland Twp.; grandchildren, Justin Tatum and finace, Ashley Lewis, Brian Stevens, Matthew Stevens, and wife, Emily, Trevor Crank, Jordan Stevens; sister, Shirley Betts and husband, Dale; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lloyd and Pauline Schnarr, Linda and Mike Healy, Kathy Penrod, Orley Voliva; many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Ruth Voliva and Julia Rutherford; sister-in-law, Joanne McLean.
