Longueuil, Joyce A.- of Montrose, age 73, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM Friday, May 13, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church-11110 Saginaw St, Mt Morris, MI. A family member will lead the Rosary at 10:30 AM at church on Friday. A Funeral Service will also be held at 1PM, Thursday, May 12, 2022, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 10AM until time of service. Rev. Fr. Roy Horning will be officiating both. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Live streaming of the service on Thursday, will be available through the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home website. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Joyce was born April 25, 1949, in Flint, Michigan, to James and Mildred (Davis) Knowles. She graduated from Montrose High School with the class of 1967, she then went on to graduate from Mott Community College in 1978 with her LPN in nursing. Joyce was a well-respected LPN nurse for Genesys for 32 years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Joyce was a member of the Independent Order of Fosters, A former president commander of the American Legion #695, VFW post auxiliary #1195, and a Lifetime Girl Scout member. Joyce enjoyed going to bingo, bowling, and camping. She enjoyed RV’ing in Florida. She loved her grandchildren more than anything. Above all she will be greatly missed by many.
Surviving are: Children: Tina (Karl) Bingham, Bobby (Cathy) Moore, and Tiffany (Brian) Hill; Mother: Mildred Knowles; 17 Grandchildren; 24 Great grandchildren which includes 3 up incoming great grandchildren. Brother: James Knowles; Sisters: Mary McNeil, Helen Lemley, Ruth Evans, Laura Patterson, and Anita Knowles. Sister-in-law and best friend, Connie Kalfs. She is preceded in passing by husbands: Allen Moore in 1980, and Thomas Longueuil in 2020, Son, Allen Moore II in 2021, and Father, James Knowles in 2015.
