GIFFORD, John W. Jr., - of Montrose, age 79, died on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place. A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date.
John was born April 30, 1941 in Flint, Michigan. He was a graduate of Montrose High School and went on to study at Michigan State University. Throughout his life, he worked at General Motors, farmed, and was a proud member of the Montrose Fire Department. He spent his free time camping with family, hunting with the boys, and collecting John Deere Tractors.
Surviving are: His loving wife of 59 years, Judy Gifford; Son, Mark (Debbie) Gifford; Daughter, Suzanne Gifford, Grandchildren: Ashley Gifford & Luke Gifford; Sister, Thelma Brown; Brothers in law: Jim (Lavonne) Ealy, and Jeff (Tammy) Glann; Sister in law, Bonnie Adams; Many special nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
