COOPER, Robert Andrew - Of Flint, age 71, passed away on December 30th, 2021 following a two-month rollercoaster ride of surgical and compromised health challenges. He had his wife Natalie, and daughter Katie, close by his side.
Funeral Service will be held 10am Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G3139 Hogarth Avenue, Flint.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation 3-6pm Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 9am Tuesday January 4, 2022 at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Bob was the textbook definition of “middle child” — the boy between older brother Mike and younger brother Steve. His parents, Homer, and Joy, preceded him in death. Bob was the kid that when told not to touch the burner because it’s hot. . . had to touch the burner.
Bob lived in Swartz Creek with his wife of 42 years, Natalie and his beloved dog, Molly. His daughter Katie and her husband Steve also live nearby in Swartz Creek. Bob’s older brother Mike and his wife Tracy, along with youngest brother Steve, live in Bay City.
Bob was born on April 13th, 1950 and grew up in Montrose. He never lost those small-town values and outlook after graduating from high school in 1968. Bob found a career with Genesee County Community Mental Health and retired in 2000. He loved his family and he loved his friends. Sharing with him most often was his closest friend, Tim Hardy and his wife Jane. Bob will be missed by anyone who ever came in contact with him.
