John Paul Miller III, 42, a lifelong resident of Lapeer, passed away on October 16, 2023. John was born on March 19, 1981, in Lapeer, to parents John and Geanene (Hillman) Miller.
John graduated from Lapeer West High School class of 1999. He worked for many years as a computer technician and did a lot of freelance work in that field. His hobbies included video games, comic books, collectables and playing the drums. John always had a big heart, he loved animals of all kinds and was known to take home a stray cat or dog from time to time. John would make them feel right at home and each animal he cared for became a beloved member of the family. John was a friend to everyone he met and will be truly missed by those who knew him.
John is survived by his parents: John and Geanene Miller of Lapeer; his many cousins; and his beloved cats: Frank and Buzz. John was preceded in death by his grandparents: John (Sophie) Miller and Walter (Marie) Hillman.
Visitation for John will be held on Thursday October 19th from 4:00-8:00 PM at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. A funeral service will be on Friday October 20th at 11:00 AM at Muirs. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday. Burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lapeer will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paradise Animal Rescue 2266 N. Lapeer Rd., Lapeer, MI 48446. Please share memories and condolences at www.muirbrotherslapeer.com
