SAWYER, Louetta “Lou” - Of Swartz Creek, age 83, died Thursday, June 29, 2023.
A private inurnment will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Louetta was born in Lafe, Arkansas on February 20, 1940, the daughter of the late Allen and Thelma (Wright) Cox. Lou was an exceptional caregiver, not only at nursing facilities throughout her career, but she lovingly cared for her mother for many years. She was a wonderful cook and despite her health challenges, cooked three meals a day. She was a very self-sufficient and determined woman.
Surviving are siblings, Goodman (Kim) Cox, Don (Judy) Cox and Bertie (Ken) Brant;
sisters-in-law, Ruth Cox and Janet Cox;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Franklin (Frank) Cox, Sr., Allen Cox Jr., Altus Cox and Bud Cox, and sisters, Virginia Lychner, Norma McGaffigan, Elizabeth Thompson and Theresa Cox.
