TRAWICK, Judy – Of Flint, age 75, died Thursday, August 31, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Jon Wass officiating.

Visitation 11am-8pm Thursday and 10am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the family.

Judy was born in Flint, Michigan on July 8, 1948, the daughter of Carl and Donna (McGlinchey) York. She graduated from Ainsworth High School, Class of 1966. Judy then graduated from the College of the Desert with her Associates Degree. On September 8, 1969, she married Ronald Trawick in Florida. Judy proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed many activities including, bowling, golfing, shooting pool and fishing. Judy also played and coached youth softball and basketball. She also raced cars for a season. Judy was famous for her BBQ sauce, her ability to consume massive amounts of crab legs and having a good time. In 2023, Judy was honored as the Female Veteran of the Year. Above all else, Judy loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her daughter and best friend, Robin.

Surviving are mother, Donna York;

daughter, Robin Trawick;

son, Ronald (Michelle) Trawick;

grandchildren, Orion (Dontrae) Trawick; Elijah Trawick; Jalen Dove; Emma Bowers; and Madilyn Bowers;

siblings, Sharon (Kenny) Krumm; Dean York; and Robin Green;

sister-in-law, Brenda York;

beloved fur baby, Madison;

adopted daughters, Shawn Christopher; Lisa Benway, Shawna Myers, Melissa Duff, Diana Rodabaugh;

former daughter-in-law, Donna Trawick;

nieces and nephews, Amy; Tom; Justin; Brad; Melissa; Jason; Chrystal; Tiffannee; Steffannee; Kristy; Brian; Dylan; Jacob; Shelby; Rodney; Natasha; Noel; Genevieve and Christopher;

and many friends she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald; father Carl York; brother David York; niece Tonya York and best friends Terese Hamilton and Karen Martin.

Special thank you to Judy’s caregiver, hospice nurse Paige, aide Shelly and the staff at Hurley Medical Center ICCU and ICU for their care and support.
