CONROY, Delores Anne - Age 83, of Swartz Creek, passed away peacefully in her home with her
daughters beside her on May 31, 2021. Funeral services will be held 1PM Monday, June 7, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Pastor Paul Brashaw, officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 4PM - 8PM Sunday and 11AM until time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to McLaren Hospice. Delores was born January 14, 1938, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Glenn and Olive (Byers) McBride. She married James Edward Conroy in Linden, Michigan on August 17, 1957. James preceded her in death on April 29, 2007.Delores, “Grandma Dee or Aunt Dee” to many, enjoyed camping with her family, sewing, and loved to go garage saleing. She loved everyone she met and would do anything she could for those in need. Surviving are: Sons, Jon (Kay) Conroy of Davison, Dale Conroy of Iowa; Daughters, Glenda Higgins of Swartz Creek, Leanna (Brad) Case of Gaines; Grandchildren, Jason (Kelly) Conroy, Jared (Ashley) Conroy, Jamie (Jason) Lyons, Amy Zorgdrager, Eric (Alicia) Conroy, Josh (Beatriz) Pfeiffer, Brandon Pfeiffer, Mike
(Jessica) Pfeiffer, and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her Sisters, Adele Lougheed of Flint and Gail (Jerry) McNew of Idaho; Special friends considered family, Edie and Ryan (Kylee) Behm, and many nieces and nephews. Delores was also preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Olive McBride; Brothers, Duane and Kent. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at McLaren Hospice for your guidance and compassion. Delores resided at Durand Senior Care & Rehab from February 2016 until May 2021 during which time she was loved and cared for by so many special people, too many to name. There are 3 EXTRA special angels that loved our mother like their own. Mary McCormick, Jennifer Lane and Rose Dunk, we will NEVER be able to thank you enough!! |
