DEERING, Dennis James – Of Grand Blanc, age 62, died Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital, due to complications of diabetes.
Private service will be held.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Dennis was born in Flint, Michigan on April 9, 1958, the son of Robert John and Darlene Ann (Rastetter) Deering.
He played football while in school and graduated from Carman High School in 1976.
He married Ann Porritt on October 7, 1995.
Dennis was an avid ghost hunter and loved the wild life.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren; they brought him great joy.
Dennis retired from GM after 30 years of proud service.
Surviving are his wife, Ann;
son, Ryan (Darci) Deering;
daughter, Erin (Jeff) Kidd;
grandchildren, Grace and Henry;
sister and brother, Pam and David;
many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert and father-in-law, Jerry Porritt.
