McCOY, Carolyn Joyce (Duke) - Age 76, of Flint, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021. A memorial service will take place 6 PM, Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The service will be live-streamed on Carolyn's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Memorial gathering will take place from 2 PM until the time of service Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Flint Public Library, 1026 East Kearsley St., Flint, MI 48503.
Carolyn was born on October 27, 1944 in Flint the daughter of Leo and Belle Duke. She worked for many years for the Flint Board of Education before retiring as the instructional material clerk. Carolyn was a member of the American Business Women's Association, Nu-Lite Chapter, Flint. She was very active with her family and would always support her grandchildren. In her free time she enjoyed fishing, camping, coloring and playing BINGO.
She is survived by her children, David McCoy Jr. and Renee (Tom) Aurand; grandchildren, Rich Breckons, Amy (Josh) Eisenhauer, Elissa Aurand, Ryan McCoy, Evan Aurand and Sydney Aurand; great-grandchildren, Jade, Bella, Gunner, Raina, Triston and Asher; and pet dog, Oreo. Carolyn was preceded in death by former husband and friend, David McCoy Sr.; parents, Leo and Belle Duke; and brother, Frank Gray. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
