JENSEN, JENNIFER RENEE- Of Columbiaville, age 53, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, peacefully but suddenly after a courageous and long battle with mental health and depression during which her pain became too unbearable.
A sharing time will be held from 2-3pm Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Visitation will be held from 11am till the time of sharing on Sunday at the funeral home.
Jennifer was born on October 30, 1972, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Bill and Brenda Lawson.
She married Mark Jensen on February 16, 2002.
Jennifer was a dedicated and compassionate wife and mother and a determined individual who left all those she reached happier than when she met them. Over the last three decades Jennifer worked for Bentley Schools during which time she earned her Masters Degree +30. Jennifer had a passion for teaching and for her students whose many lives were changed and forever impacted for the better.
She loved reading at the beach and swimming endlessly in the water as well as drinking a good old fashioned with her forever soulmate and husband.
Jennifer had a love for travel and a heart for adventure. Jennifer had loyal heart for all her friends and would move mountains for those she loved.
She is survived by her husband Mark Jensen Jr.; son Jake Jensen; daughter Emjae Jensen; parents Brenda and Bill Lawson; brother Chad Lawson; mother-in-law Shirley (Kim) Barnes, father-in-law Mark Jensen Sr. (Steven); aunt and uncle Fidelia and Mark Notman; Cousins Ross (Kristin)Notman and Vanessa (Keenan) Notman, and so many beloved and cherished family members.
