LAFRAMBOISE, Lawrence Leon – of Montrose, age 79, died Saturday, September 10, 2022 at McLaren Flint. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose, Michigan. Pastor Tim Hobson officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Larry was born April 13, 1943 in Flint, Michigan to the late Eudoxie LaFrambroise. He grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Flint Central High School with the class of 1961. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1962 to 1965. On June 3, 1967 he married the love of his life, Patricia Stratman and she preceded him in death on January 6, 2021. Prior to his retirement in 1995, Larry worked for GM at Fisher Body and Buick City as a Machine Operator with 30 years of service. He was an avid sports fan and loved all sports, especially Montrose Athletic Teams, University of Michigan football, basketball and girls softball. He volunteered coaching little league baseball and girls softball. He was a member of the Montrose Athletic Boosters. Larry enjoyed working in his barn, classic cars, oldies music and spending time at his cabin in Tawas. However, his greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children, Amy (Kevin) Salter, Larry (Kerri) LaFramboise Jr.; Grandchildren, Alek (Allie) Salter, Matthew Salter, Dylan LaFramboise, Ryan LaFramboise; Sister in laws, Dorothy (Herb) Bemis, Mary Lou Booth, Shari Stratman; Brother in laws, Clem (Janice) Stratman, Harold (Karen) Stratman; several nieces, nephews, and LaFramboise cousins; also numerous friends whom he considered family. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Eudoxie (Jack) Greffen; Wife, Patricia LaFramboise; Brother in law, Charles Stratman, Thomas Stratman; Nephews, Troy Stratman, Brian Booth.
