AVERILL, Kelly K. – of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Mt. Morris, Michigan, age 56, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 16, 2023. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, October 23, 2023 at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Pastor Dale Lewis officiating. The family will receive visitors on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Kelly was born May 7, 1967, in Flint, Michigan to William and Madelon (Hudson) Webber. She lived in Mt. Morris most of her life and graduated from E.A. Johnson Memorial High School in Mt. Morris with the class of 1985. Kelly later attended Baker College in Flint for interior design where she earned her associate degree. She married Robert “Doug” Averill on June 5, 1999, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio. Together they enjoyed many wonderful years together before he preceded her in death on February 12, 2009. Kelly’s favorite and most meaningful job was being a bus driver with Clio area schools and GISD for 15 years. She enjoyed decorating, camping, golfing and gardening. Kelly truly enjoyed life and especially loved reminiscing and telling old stories with family and friends. She loved people and would do anything for anyone. Above all, Kelly loved her family, especially spending time with her nieces, nephew, and beloved dogs, Honey, and Sammy.
Surviving are: Mother, Madelon (Ted) Tolson; Boyfriend, John Luss; Sister, Kimberly (Tom) Bois; Brother, William (Lori) Webber; Step-Siblings: Cherri (Tim) McDowell, Carol Williams, and Ted (Brenda) Tolson; Nieces and nephew: Erica, Stephanie, Kennedy, Allie, and Ethan; Special friend, Lori Stimac.
