RINKER, Susanne – of Burton, age 72, passed away on December 26, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Bradley McDaniel, celebrant. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 11 AM – 2 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in honor of Susie.
Susie was born in Detroit, MI on May 28, 1952, daughter of Robert and Susanne (Henderson) Rusch. She married Gary Rinker on April 6, 1983 in Las Vegas, NV. Susie was a vibrant soul who brought joy and warmth to everyone around her. She had a passion for dancing, lighting up every room with her energy. Whether it was the thrill of bingo nights or the excitement of visiting casinos or the movies, she embraced life to the fullest. She found happiness floating on rafts during sunny days, enjoying the gentle sway of the water beneath her. Music was a favorite pastime, and she had a special fondness for Motown. Her love extended to her beloved dogs, who were always by her side, bringing comfort and companionship. Above all, her heart belonged to her beloved grandson, Bobby, who was the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with him, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Susie worked as a bus driver for Davison Public Schools and later took on the role of a Pharmacy Technician, where her kindness and care continued to shine through. Her creative spirit was evident in the beautiful crocheted blankets she lovingly crafted for her family and shelter animals. Her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever be remembered by those who were lucky enough to know her.
Susie is survived by her daughters, Sonya Gatica and Cheryl Gutzeit; grandsons, Robert Gatica, Jr. and Wyatt Bramlett; father, Robert Rusch; siblings: Michelle (Artie) Frasse and Louis (Diana) Haddad; several nieces and nephews; and several special, “adopted” children that loved Mama Sue, and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Gary Rinker; mother, Susanne Henderson; brother, Robert “Ananda Singh” Rusch.
