DICK, Marjorie Rose – of Montrose, age 87, died Friday, July 7, 2023 at Medilodge of Montrose. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Jonathan Perrotta officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose and from 10:00 AM until time of mass at the church on Tuesday. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Marjorie was born September 7, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to the late Raoul and Margaret (Hursky) Belanger. She grew up in New Lothrop, Michigan and graduated from St. Michael Catholic School with the class of 1953. On November 17, 1956 she married John Dick and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2022. Marjorie was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and played piano. Marjorie enjoyed sewing, painting, gardening, and canning the vegetables she grew. She volunteered at Medilodge of Montrose and played the piano for the residents there. However, her greatest joy in life was her family, especially all of her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children, Kathryn (Kelly) Hays, Jon (Angelica) Deicla, and Joseph Deicla; Grandchildren: Amy (Trever) Mattoon, Lydia Deicla, and Mathias Deicla; Great grandchildren: Madelyn McPeek, Mila Mattoon, Lily Mattoon, and Bennett Brindley; Siblings: Arthur (Wendy) Belanger, Jeanette (Richard) Ries; God Daughter, Karen Prchlik; many nieces and nephews.
