BECKWITH (PACE) PATSY E. “Pat”
Age 92, of Flint, MI passed away on June 13th, 2023. She was born in Flint, MI on May 29th, 1931.
Pat was born in Flint, the daughter of the late John Ewell and Reatha Pace.
She married Kenneth Beckwith in 1952 and he preceded her in death on May 1st, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her beloved brother, Joel Arthur (J.A.) Pace of Flint; his wife, Jan and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road on Thursday, June 22nd, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm.
The funeral will be at 1:00pm on Friday, June 23rd, with visitation for family and friends at 12:00pm, also at Swartz Funeral Home.
Burial is in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Pat graduated from the 1949 class of Central High School in Flint.
She worked at AC as well as Ternstedt, but excelled as a homemaker, which allowed her a life of service to others. She made a huge impact on the lives of many with dementia, taking them to church, Dr. appointments and anything else they needed. Sadly, she had to endure the same illness the last 3 years of her life, but kept her smile, humor, wit and kindness that endeared her to so many throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Pat's favorite hobby was crocheting and her family members all received at least one afghan, especially made for them. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, baking and was an awesome cook.
Pat is survived by her son Larry K. (Cynthia) Beckwith, her daugher, Linda (Kenny) Stringfellow; grandchildren, Mark and Sarah and her beloved brother, James Aubrey (Florence) Pace of IL as well as her cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.
