KRIST, John Paul – of Flint, MI, age 86, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 E. Mt. Morris Road, Otisville, MI 48463; Pastor Alan Duce officiating. Interment in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Richfield Church of the Nazarene, in John’s memory.
John was born in Flint, MI on July 3, 1934, son of the late John and Mildred (Gleniecki) Krist. He married Beverly Warby on August 31, 1963 in Otisville, MI and she preceded him in death on March 30, 2010. John retired from James Lumber after 30 years of service. He was a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene. John was an avid sports fan and loved watching all Detroit sports teams.
John is survived by 2 children, Donna (Pat) Smith of Phoenix, AZ and John II (Anne) Krist of Flint, MI; 5 grandchildren, Patrick Jr. (Stephanie) Smith, Paul Smith, Karleigh Krist, Kennedy Krist and Kassidy Krist; great-grandchildren, Patrick III, Eli, Camila, Mathew, Arabella, Nathanael, Samuel, Joshua and Ezekiel; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Krist; wife, Beverly Jean Krist, brother, Leonard Krist.
