BURGESS, Georgina Suzanne (Apostol) – of Davison, MI, age 74, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020. A Private Funeral Service will be held at CenterPoint Church (formerly Faith Tabernacle Church), 1225 South Center Road, Burton, MI 48509; Pastor Bruce Garner officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Inurnment in Great Lakes National Cemetery on a later date. The family will receive visitors 9-10:30 AM Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at CenterPoint Church (formerly Faith Tabernacle Church). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CenterPoint Church (https://www.churchteams.com/m/Give.asp?oID=10757&aID=UW9DWkpRaEo1ZTdCcEsyeWMxd1dGa3lwSThMaERSK1g%3D), in Georgina’s memory. In accordance with State Mandated Guidelines, masks are required, social distancing must be observed and limitations on the number of people in attendance will be enforced.
Georgina was born in Marion, IN on April 14, 1946, daughter of the late George and Mary Elizabeth (Tedder) Apostol. She was actively involved in Faith Tabernacle Church now known as CenterPoint Church in Burton, MI, which she dearly loved. Georgina also loved playing card games with her grandchildren.
Georgina is survived by 2 sons, Terry (Laura) Duncan and Ron (Lisa) Duncan; 6 grandchildren, Alec Duncan, Cassidy (Dan) Grady, Josh Fortney, Aaron Duncan, Jason Duncan and Jade Duncan; brother, Ron (Wanda) Rybolt; great-granddaughter, Scarlett Jade Grady; niece, Stephanie (Craig) Pumfrey; 2 great-nephews, Nick Pumfrey and Brandon Bent; dear friend, Lois Lobbs; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Apostol; husband, Donald Gordon Burgess; 2 sisters, Vicki McDonald and Shirley Clasby.
