Vivian Carol Tripplett, age 56, passed away November 10, 2021 at her residence. Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI. Family hour will begin at 10 AM, Saturday at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors Friday, November 19, 2021 from 12noon - 7PM at the funeral home. Cremation will take place after the funeral. Pastor Powell officiating. Vivian was born September 23, 1965 in Greenville, MS, the daughter of James W. and Thelma Lee (Cotton) Tripplett. She attended and graduated from Flint Central High School, graduated from Mott Community College with an Associate degree and graduated from University of Michigan with a Bachelor degree in Health Administration and a Minor in Aging. Vivian enjoyed fishing, bingo, playing cards, singing, dancing and listening to her favorite song Mama, by Boyz II Men. She also loved hanging out with her grandkids and family gatherings. Vivian is survived by her children Sylvia Tripplett, Adrian Tripplett, Jessica Tripplett, Tabatha (Kelvin) Garner, mother Thelma Lee Tripplett, grandchildren Adrice Tripplett, JaeSean Tripplett, KeyShawn Tripplett, Jalea Tripplett, Zariah Garner, Anaiya Sweeney, Antonio Sweeney, De'Andre Sweeney, Ava Garner, Adonis Garner, Amari Garner and Kelvin Garner III, siblings James Tripplett, Victor Tripplett, Yolanda Tripplett, Audrey Tripplett, Maurice Tripplett and a host of nieces, nephews, special friends Lamont Jackson, Kim Cross, Fredricka Bonner Cross and Barbara Arlington. She was preceded in death by her father JW Triplett, sister Vicky (Renae) Tripplett and best friend Tracey Zongo. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all those who have supported us during this time of loss, nursing and housekeeping staff at Genesys, Davita Staff and special friends that assisted her during this time.
