Amanda Joanne Kemprowski, of Holland, Ohio, age 46, passed away at 5:48 a.m. August 23, 2023, after a long battle with cancer, with her loving husband and parents by her side. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Good Sheperd Catholic Church - 400 N Saginaw St, Montrose, MI. Father Jonathan Perrotta will officiate. Burial to follow to Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, August 28, 2023, from 4PM until 8PM at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose, and Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service at Church. A Rosary will be held on Monday at 7PM at the Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude.
Amanda was born April 8, 1977, in Flint, Michigan, to Joe and Ann Yokobosky. She was a proud graduate of Montrose High School and Notre Dame University where she majored in Accountancy. Her career as a CPA brought her to Michigan, California, New York and Georgia where she made many great friends along the way.
She married her husband, Zigmond Kemprowski, on January 28, 2017, in Decatur, GA, where they spent most of their married life until they moved to Holland, OH, in 2022.
Amanda’s life from early childhood through elementary, middle, and high school highlighted many friendships that remained strong forever, making sure everyone was well and reminding each other of their escapades.
She loved traveling around the world, reading, trivia and music, especially music by Eddie Vedder. She also volunteered for many organizations, serving as a board member, treasurer, and president of the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Amanda is survived by her husband Zigmond, parents Ann and Joe Yokobosky, in-laws Sheri and Joe Kemprowski, sister-in-law Rita Kemprowski, aunts and uncles Cindy and Dennis Socks, Debbie and Tom Hessell, Donna Yokobosky, many cousins and special friends.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Flossie Weddell, Joe and Angie Yokobosky, James Weddell , Uncle Alan Yokobosky, brother-in-law Scott Farrell. Please sign our guestbook or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com. |
