Michael A. Bierek, age 52, of Gladwin, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 6, 2024. He was born on June 7, 1972, the son of Anthony and Kathleen (Tatro) Bierek, in Flint. Mike earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan in Flint and pursued a career in sales, excelling in multiple roles throughout his life.
Mike’s true passion was coaching, where he dedicated 20 years to guiding various sports teams. Even after he was done, he was always a coach at heart. Mike had a deep love for sports, especially baseball and football. He liked hunting waterfowl and deer. Mike also enjoyed cutting wood out back with his mill, lending a hand when friends needed it.
He is survived by his son: Austin Zawol; father: Anthony Bierek; sister: Dawn (Anthony) Smith; significant other: Stacey Reaume and her children: Chandler (Kurtis) Schiemann, Adam Hall, and Lincoln McKinnon; and her grandchildren: Cooper and Porter; uncle: Gary (Janice) Tatro; aunts: Marilyn (Ted) Taylor and MaryKay Bierek; along with several extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Uncle Joe, Aunt Janet, Uncle Wayne, and his grandparents.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
