JACQUES, Richard John – of Davison, MI, age 49, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, February 9, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Thursday, February 8, 2024 and 10-11 AM Friday, February 9, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or any non-profit animal charity, in Rick’s memory.
Rick was born in Flint, MI on September 7, 1974, son of James and Ilona “Lonnie” (Farkas) Jacques. He was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1992. Rick married Janette Smith on July 19, 2003 in Davison, MI. In 2012, Rick embarked on a new chapter as the proud owner and operator of Certified Abatement Services. His dedication and hard work made him a respected figure in the industry, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with. Beyond his professional pursuits, Rick found solace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life. A lover of the great outdoors, he spent countless hours boating, fishing, snowmobiling, and enjoying the serenity of ice fishing. Rick's love extended to his furry companions, as he delighted in giving relaxing belly rubs to his beloved puppies. Rick will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious laughter, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. His spirit will live on in the stories we share and the memories we hold dear. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that he so freely gave during his time with us.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Janette Jacques; parents, James and Lonnie Jacques; best friends, Chad Burke and Luke Herrington; special friends, Joe and Donnie Coughlin; 2 canine companions, Archie and Jax; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Jacques, Jr.; canine companion, Spanky; grandparents, John (Tracy) Jacques and John (Dresby) Farkas.
