WAGNER, Sharon – of Davison, age 73, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 at University of Michigan Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. The family will welcome visitors from 11 AM until the time of the service on Saturday. In honor of Sharon, the family requests for those who attend to please wear casual attire. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for a remembrance garden in Sharon’s memory.
Sharon was born in Goodrich, MI on October 1, 1951, daughter of the late Duane and Dorothy (Barber) Wagner. A devoted dairy farmer throughout her life, she found joy in gardening, fishing, cooking, and canning. Her culinary creations were legendary, especially her applesauce and strawberry jam, which were cherished by all who knew her. Sports held a special place in her heart and were a constant presence in her life.
She was a lifelong breeder of Australian Shepherds, a passion that brought her great pride and fulfillment. Her involvement in the CANUSA Games, traveling between Canada and Michigan, showcased her love of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family and friends, particularly her beloved nieces, nephews, and their children. Her warmth and love left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her.
Sharon is survived by her significant other, Joe Jackson, for whom was the love of Sharon’s life; siblings, Roger (Marsha) Wagner, Susie (Larry) Norfleet, Vickie (Joe) Smetanka and Greg (Wendy) Wagner; nieces and nephews, Pam (Joe), Lynne (Rod), Roger II (Michelle), Kim (Andy), Michael (Jenna), Kenny (Angelique), Kyle, Scott (Susan), Zach (Paula), Aaron, and Jake (Lexis); many great-nieces and great-nephews; her loving Australian Shepherds; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by great-nephew, Ryan Norfleet.
