PHILLIPS, Lawrence - Of Flint, age 79, passed peacefully surrounded by his family Monday, December 30, 2013 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Cremation has taken place. No service or visitation has been planned.
Lawrence was born in Flint on July 31, 1934, the son of William and Elsie (Ashcroft) Phillips. On June 15, 1957 he married Gail M. Lehr. Lawrence served in the United States Army. He worked at AC Spark Plug as a Supervisor. He was a Police Officer with the Flint Police Reserves and also with the City of Clio.
Surviving are wife, Gail;
children, daughter, Wendy Phillips, son, Douglas (Vicki) Phillips, daughter Sarah (Christopher) Truett and son, Adam Lehr-Phillips;
grandchildren, Steven Phillips, Libby, Ella and Henry Truett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gary Phillips, sisters, Helene Adams and Joan Phillips.
