WILLETT, Irene – of Lapeer, age 73, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, May 2, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Rev. Berniece Matejcek officiating. Burial will be in Bird Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation.
Irene was born in Applegate, MI on June 7, 1940, daughter of the late Manley and Gladys (Williamson) McLean. She married Floyd Willett on July 11, 1959. Irene enjoyed gardening, cooking, being a seamstress and playing the organ during church services. She was a 4H Club and Girl Scout Leader.
Irene is survived by her husband, Floyd; children, Tonya (Dawsey) Medlin, Daryl (Lisa) Willett and Lynette Stanford; grandchildren, Kelly (Jeffrey) Hoos, Adam and Hunter Willett, Naomi Stanford; sister-in-law, Celia McLean. She was preceded in death by brother, Alvin McLean.
