TAMEZ, Sara – Of Burton, age 96, left this world to take her rightful place with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Wellbridge of Fenton.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Andrew Czajkowski officiating.
Burial in Meadowview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
She went home to be with her Savior, whom she loved so dearly.
Sara was born in San Benito Texas on April 8, 1926, the daughter of Eustacio and Mercedes (Salazar) Padilla and was a resident of Burton and the Flint area since 1953. On June 25, 1955, she married Abelardo “Al” Tamez.
She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Surviving are husband, Al;
sons, Rafael (Judy), Raul (Jeanne) and Ramiro (Linda);
daughter-in-law, Tammy (Rick) Cronkright;
10 grandchildren;
18 great-grandchildren;
brothers, Jose (Maria) Padilla and John (Shirley) Padilla;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Reuben in 2000; 2 brothers; 2 sisters and great-grandson, Chase.
The family wants to thank Compassus and the staff of Wellbridge of Fenton.
