Wothke, Cheryl Ann of Flushing, age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024.
Cheryl was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 2, 1945, the daughter of Forster and Ann (Draugelis) Moore. She was a graduate of Monroe High School, class of 1963. Cheryl was retired from General Motors-Service Parts Operations. She enjoyed playing bingo and computer games and putting together puzzles. She enjoyed spending time browsing antique stores and gardening. Cheryl had a love for all animals.
She is survived by her children, Mindy Valigura, Matt and wife Staci Wothke; grandchildren, Jaxon McGathen, Hayli Wothke, Maci Wothke; sister, Shelly and husband Mike (Poniedzialek); a niece Amy Jo (Paul) Bomia, and two nephews, Nathan Roark and Derek Poniedzialek; and her beloved cat, Milo. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank Regency Rehab at Grand Blanc and Brookdale Assisted Living for their wonderful care and compassion during this difficult time. Per her request, Cheryl has been cremated. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in her name to an animal charity of your choice. |
