BLEICHER, Mildred (Chema) – of Davison, MI, age 88, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 PM Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Interment immediately following the Mass in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 11 AM-12 PM Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church for Masses in Mildred’s memory or donations to Catholic Charities, 901 Chippewa Street, Flint, MI 48503.
Mildred was born in Flint, MI on March 3, 1934, daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Dobrinewski) Chema. She married William L. Bleicher on May 20, 1961 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Flint, MI and he preceded her in death on May 14, 2000. Mildred was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and also did volunteer work there. She was a sweet, caring and loving person who was very generous to the poor. Mildred also had a strong faith in God. She enjoyed pontoon boat rides and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her uplifting joy. Mildred also enjoyed bowling, shopping, rummage sales, and playing cards.
Mildred is survived by 3 children, Karen Moffitt, Mark (Elizabeth) Bleicher and Diane (David) Benjamin; 7 grandchildren, Daniel (Kayla) Benjamin, Amanda (R.J.) Eighmey, Angela Benjamin (fiancé, Frank), Kenneth Moffitt, Kristen Moffitt, Sean Bleicher and Brenna Bleicher; 3 great-grandchildren, Mason Benjamin, Aubrey Joy Benjamin and Lorelei Eighmey; 2 brothers, Frank Chema and Robert (Diana) Chema; sister-in-law, Alice Chema; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Anna Chema; husband, William L. Bleicher; 3 siblings, Paul Chema, Daniel Chema and Helen Chema; sister-in-law, Grace Chema.
