Clayton T. Pletscher of Mt. Morris, MI was called home to be with his Lord on Sunday February 6th, 2022, surrounded by his family. Per Clayton’s wishes, immediate cremation will take place, followed by interment at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. A private memorial service will be held for his family and close friends at a date to be determined.
Clayton was born in Alcona County, Michigan on June 7th, 1936. He was the son of Henry and Virginia (Loyer) Pletscher of Flint, MI. He married the love of his life, Carolyn (Jean) Blankenship in 1956, enjoying 66 years by her side. Clayton was employed by AC Spark Plug in several different capacities, including as a supervisor, retiring after for 34 years of service.
Clayton was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying countless hours spent hunting and fishing with his son and grandsons. Clayton pursued several hobbies in his retirement, including gardening, canning, and feeding the various birds and animals that frequented his property. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church and was washed in the blood of Christ.
Clayton was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Clayton is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Virginia Pletscher, and brother, Ernest Pletscher. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn (Jean) Pletscher, three children, Pamela Kulcher, Patricia (Michael) Misko and Tony (Kristen) Pletscher. His grandchildren include Kenneth (Tina) Gocha, Kierra (Nash) Irwin, Nina Morse, Trinity Kulcher, Kristopher (Angela) Myers, Amanda (Rick) Day, Stephanie (Nate) Owens, Eric (Jessica) Myers, Carah (Joshua) Warren and Lauren Pletscher, along with several great grandchildren. He also leaves behind brother Ivan, and sisters Charlene (Jerry) Hall and Eleanore Sullivan. Please sign our guest book or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com.
