GLANTON, LuAnn Kay (Borst) – of Davison, MI, age 61, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Mike Halliburton officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 2-7 PM Monday, November 13, 2023 and 10-11 AM Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or the First Baptist Church of Davison, 208 East Fourth Street, Davison, MI 48423, in LuAnn’s memory.
LuAnn was born in Flint, MI on January 2, 1962, daughter of the late Calvin J. and Lois J. (Miller) Borst. She was a graduate of Atherton High School Class of 1981. On August 13, 1995, LuAnn married the love of her life, Thomas C. Glanton, in Elba, MI. Throughout her life, LuAnn dedicated over 20 years of service to Dr. Greg Nielson and the Huntington Group, where she formed lasting connections with her colleagues as a surgical dental assistant. Dr. Greg Nielsen was not just a colleague, but also a cherished friend and mentor. LuAnn's commitment extended beyond her professional life. She was actively involved in her church and considered her church family an integral part of her life. An avid reader with a passion for travel, LuAnn found joy in exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. Her love for her family, including grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, was immeasurable. LuAnn cherished her role as a guiding presence for her siblings, especially after the passing of their mother. Her travels with the church group allowed her to combine her love for exploring with her spiritual journey. LuAnn's kindness, warmth, and unwavering support endeared her to her nieces, nephews, and extended family members alike.
LuAnn will be remembered as the rock of her family, a devoted friend, and a woman whose generosity and love touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and the beautiful memories she created with those fortunate enough to share in her life.
LuAnn is survived by her husband, Tom Glanton; 2 daughters, Lisa (Barry)Turkovics and Gina (Dave) Herron; 6 grandchildren, Chelsey (Dan) Stepanski, Zackori Turkovics (Sam), Tylyr Turkovics (Alysia), David Herron, Kristeena Turkovics (Tyler) and Dylan (Liz) Herron; 9 great-grandchildren, Baileigh, Carson, Jace, Graelynn, Tanner, D.J., Kye, Dalton and Baby Bean; 4 siblings, Stephen (Amy) Borst, Julie (Don) Bakeman, Carrie Borst and Lisa Borst; very special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other loving family members and dear friends and her beloved dog, Jake. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin J. and Lois J. Borst.
