HURRY, Thomas George – of Flint, MI, age 81, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Daryl Taylor officiating. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-2 PM Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home. Inurnment, with Military Honors, in Great Lakes National Cemetery on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers, t2t.org, in Tom’s memory.
Tom was born in Flint, MI on September 20, 1941, son of the late James and Claudine (Barry) Hurry. He was a graduate of Kearsley High School Class of 1959. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1960-1963. He retired from General Motors V-8 Engine Plant after 28 years of service. Tom “Don’t worry Hurry” was the founder and owner of Hurry’s Tax Service in Flint, MI for over 60 years.
Tom is survived by 2 children, Brian Hurry and Laurie (Timothy) Brown; brother, Dan Hurry; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Claudine Hurry; 2 siblings, Chuck Hurry and Joan Langley.
