KEITH, Edward L. “Ed” – Of Grand Blanc, age 92, went to be with the Lord
on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Grand Blanc Field Assisted Living.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Entombment at Crestwood Cemetery will follow with Military Honors under the Auspices of the United States Navy.
Visitation 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service.
Ed was born in Flint, Michigan on December 30, 1929, the son of the late John and Ira (Glasco)Keith. He was a graduate of Grand Blanc High School Class of 1948. On January 8, 1951 he married the love of his life Jacqueline Kalbfleisch. After serving in the United States Navy, he started up his own company, Solar Electric. Ed retired from General Motors as an Engineering Supervisor. After retirement, he went on to co-own Remax of Genesee Valley for 5 years. He was a faithful member of Berean Baptist Church in Grand Blanc and held several positions there such as, Youth Leader and Sunday School Teacher. Later, he became a member of North Baptist Church in Flint. Ed loved to share the Gospel; his ultimate goal was to help lead people to Christ. He had an inviting personality and made friends wherever he went. Ed loved reading the bible every morning for over 20 years. In his younger years, he enjoyed flying airplanes. Ed and Jackie were avid travelers and loved seeing the world together.
Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Jacqueline Keith;
3 children, Debra (Levander) and husband David Whitmire, Steven and wife, Delta Kathryn Keith and Marcella (Little) and husband, Bill Dunkel;
11 grandchildren;
26 great-grandchildren;
3 great-great-grandchildren;
and brother, Arthur Keith.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Janis Jancarik and granddaughter, Jennifer Little.
