EWLES, Beverly J. (Bev) of Winter Haven Florida, age 76, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Winter Haven Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 11:00 am. at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI. Burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, August 20th and 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Beverly was born on April 22, 1938 in Flint, MI and moved to Florida in the mid 90’s. She was married on October 10, 1957 to Ernest Warren Ewles Sr. who passed away on July 15, 1991. She was involved in the Elf Kurafeh Le dias clowns, American Legion, Moose Lodge of Winter Haven. Bev is survived by: four children, Berteen Ewles, Debbie Tobias, Beverly McManus (Val Canfield), Ernie (Patricia) Ewles, sister Patricia (Larry) Adolph, and very special friend and companion Elwood Morrison. Beverly was blessed with many friends and family, her angel caregiver Audrey Howard, Jim McManus (son-in-law), Sharon Ewles (sister-in-law), and can’t forget her beloved dog Daisy. Beverly has 9 grandchildren, Sarah (Corey) Lougheed, Joshua (Sara) Clements, Ashley & Dean Tobias, Mandy & Nate (Jessica) McManus, Tyler, Luke (missionary in San Salvador serving the Lord) & Jacob Ewles.
She has 7 great grandchildren Kaedin & Konnor Clements, Caleb & Allie Lougheed, Brenton & Wyatt Tobias, and Dexter McManus. Beverly was preceded by: Steven Michael Dolan Sr., and Joyce Berteen Dolan (parents), Steven Michael Dolan Jr. (brother), Donald Ewles (brother-in-law). Beverly no longer suffers with heart problems and Alzheimer’s. A special thank you to all the staff at the Hawthorne Inn, Winter Haven for their exemplary care of mom over the years, as well as Hospice. Everyone who knew Beverly remembers her amazing smile that lite up her face. She was full of piss and vinegar, avid golfer, bowler, loved darts, pool, music and dancing.
