Lewis M “Lew” Phillips of Davison age 90, died Friday May 5, 2023 at Abbey Park Senior Living, Grand Blanc. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. No public services are being held. Those desiring may make contributions in Lew’s memory to the charity of your choice.
Lew was born in Gladwin Michigan on July 16, 1932 the son of the late Floyd and Myrtle (Carpenter) Phillips and has resided in Davison most of his life. He was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1951 and later graduated from General Motors Institute. He was a former member of Davison FOE 3589 and the Davison Country Club. He enjoyed time drawing especially with his architecture and drafting background. He loved boating and for many years could be spotted walking every morning for coffee with his friends up and down State Rd. He was a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene, and had been employed by General Motors Cadillac Division retiring in 1987.
Surviving are children: Mike and Faye Phillips, Ric and Rosie Phillips, James and Christine Phillips, and Nancy Phillips. He also leaves his five grandchildren, brother Gerald and wife Mary Lou Phillips; sister: Marcy Westfall, brother: Roy Phillips; brother-in-law Kenneth Porter and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by sister: Charlotte Porter, and brother- in-law Forest Westfall. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net |
