BAILEY, OnaLee Helen – Of Flushing, age 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Genesys Convalescent Center in Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Doug Klein officiating.
Visitation 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
OnaLee was born in Roscommon, Michigan on August 23, 1928, the daughter of the late Howard and Rose (Muma) Matthews. OnaLee married James W. Bailey on September 7, 1946 in Gladwin, Michigan and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1996. OnaLee was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church, Mt. Morris, MI.
She retired from AC Spark Plug and was a member of UAW Local #651.
OnaLee is survived by her children, Ron (Diane) Bailey of Flushing, Carol Nordbye of Clio, Dan (Rose)Bailey of Flint, Nancy (Ed) Sizemore of Milford;
16 grandchildren;
17 great-grandchildren;
3 great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by sister, Joyce Entrekin of Flushing;
brother, Darwin (Sally) Matthews of Hope, MI.
She was preceded in death by infant son, David Edward Bailey; son, James W. Bailey Jr; granddaughter, Michelle Bailey; son-in-law, Norm Nordbye; sister, Jean Kipple; brother, James Matthews.
The family extends a very special thank you to the Genesys Convalescent Center Staff, who tenderly cared for OnaLee this past year, and special thank you to granddaughters, Angie Bailey and Jen Nordbye.
