SHAVER, Charles M., Sr. – of Caro, Michigan, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw. A Private burial, with Military Honors, will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
Charles was born in Fargo, Michigan on October 5, 1938, the son of the late Maynard E. and Mary June (Miller) Shaver. He married Lale Field Davidson on August 4, 1975. Charles served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from Yale High School. Charles was a member of American Legion Post 7 in Caro and the Disabled American Veterans of Caro.
Charles is survived by his wife, Lale Shaver; 5 children, William Russell Davidson, Wesley Royce Davidson, Robert Thomas (Tina) Shaver, Richard Theodore Shaver and Thomas Evans Shaver; granddaughter, Sarah Renee Davidson; 2 siblings, Barbara Shaver and John (Carolyn) Shaver; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maynard and Mary June Shaver; son, Charles Shaver, Jr. in 2015; 2 siblings, Eugene Shaver and infant, Robert Shaver.
