STEVENS, George Patrick – of Flushing, age 87, died Friday, April 30, 2022 at Cranberry Park. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 5, 2022 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Boys Town.
George was born April 4, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to the late Charles and Marie (St. George) Stevens. He grew up in Flint, Michigan and attended Sacred Heart School. George married Emily McMillan on September 25, 1954 and she preceded him in death in 2019. Prior to his retirement in 1985, George worked for the City of Flint as a Firefighter with 21 years of service. He attended St. Robert Catholic Church. George was a member of the International Firefighter Association and the AFL-CIO. He enjoyed working in the yard, golfing, fishing and spending time with his family.
Surviving are: Children, Elaine (Tim) Seney, Jim (Tammy) Stevens, Kathryn Peraino, Mary Tuohy; Grandchildren, Danny (Tina) Parks, Sarah (Karl) Pepper, Alyson Parks, Greg (Victoria) Peraino, Ashley (Travis) Scott, Sean (Samantha) Tuohy, Austin Tuohy; 7 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Charles (Suzanne) Stevens, Judy Stevens, Debbie (Richard) Schultz; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife Emily Stevens; 3 Great Grandchildren; Son in law, Phillip Peraino; Siblings, John Stevens, William Stevens, Robert Stevens, Edith Byrd.
