Eva Marie Sierakowski, 93, was born on February 10, 1933, and entered eternal life on April 20, 2026.


Marie married John on November 17, 1951, beginning a beautiful life together rooted in love, faith, and family. A woman of strong faith and generous spirit, Marie was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where her faith sustained and guided her throughout her life. She faithfully volunteered with the March of Dimes for many years, giving back to others with quiet humility. Marie also served her community through her work as a secretary at Oakdale Center and later at Lapeer National Bank, where she worked for many years.



Marie was a devoted and loving mother to Linda (Robert) Hall, John Sierakowski Jr., Frank Sierakowski, Joe Sierakowski, and Cynthia Newton. She is also survived by her cherished sister-in-law, Edna Sierakowski; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews, all of whom were a constant source of joy and pride in her life.

She was welcomed into Heaven by those who went before her, including her beloved husband, John Sierakowski Sr., the love of her life; her son, James Sierakowski; her parents, Emma Lile Burnette and Bonnie O'Toole Burnette; her sister, Gracie, and her brother, Bud.


Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8pm at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer, with a holy rosary prayer at 7:00pm, honoring Marie's deep devotion to her Catholic faith. Her funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday April 23, 2026, at 11:00am at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goodrich. The family will receive family & friends the hour prior to the mass. Burial will immediately follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hadley.


Marie will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her servant's heart, her deep love for her family, and the grace with which she lived her life. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and the family she so dearly loved.
