Yambrick, Arthur V. of Flushing, age 82, died Friday, December 21, 2018, at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Per his request, cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Art’s name to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
Arthur was born in Flint, Michigan on November 20, 1936, the son of Joseph and Leona (Mikuta) Yambrick. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Art worked for Standard Oil and later Consumers Power Company, where he retired from. He later worked for MTA where he was named Person of the Week by TV-12. Art was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need and was loved by everyone he met. He loved working outdoors, animals, and cooking. Art found humor in everything.
He is survived by his brothers, Patrick and wife Sandy Yambrick, Greg and wife Sharon Yambrick, Michael and wife Shelley Yambrick, Paul Yambrick; sisters, Antonnette Sanborn, JoAnne and husband Bob Feetham and Eleanor Dugan; also, several nieces and nephews and friends. Art was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Anthony, Joseph and William Yambrick; sisters, Margaret McLachalan and Mary Yambrick.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to DiVita, McLaren-Flint Hospital and to Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
