Gagnon, Eldon Joseph of Flushing, age 83, died Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at his home. Public visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Rossell Funeral Home. A private funeral service will take place at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Eldon was born in Flint, Michigan on April 30, 1940, the son of Joseph and Irene (Prideaux) Gagnon. He was a proud graduate of Flint Technical School, class of 1958. He met the love of his life, Eileen Beardslee and the two were married on July 22, 1961, at Central Methodist Church in Flint. They shared 60 wonderful years together. Eileen preceded Eldon in death on July 31, 2021. Eldon and Eileen were residents of the Flushing Community for over 60 years. He worked at Stafford & Jackson from 1960-1989 and then Borneman & Peterson from 1989 until his retirement in 2001, as a Machinist. Eldon loved camping, fishing, old movies, and spending time with his family. He was an avid sports fan, especially University of Michigan and the Detroit Red Wings.
Eldon is survived by his daughters, Kim Gagnon and Cindy Gagnon; sisters-in-law, Margaret and husband Tom Serwell, Marlene Becker; and niece Tina Becker. |
