NEARING, DARBY LEA – Of Burton, age 66, died Monday, December 2, 2024 at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor.
Darby’s Celebration of Life Service, Visitation Monday December 9, 2024 at 2pm until the time of service at 4 p.m. at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Sarah Larose-Nettell officiating.
Dinner at the American Legion Hall 4314 W. Carpenter Rd Flint, MI 48504 at 6pm directly following the Celebration of Life Service.
Cremation has taken place.

Darby was born on August 26, 1958 in Logan , West Virginia, the daughter of Irvin and Wilma Morgan.
In June, 1979 she married Richard Nearing in Flint MI.
Darby was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Mother-in-Law, and Friend. She left behind a legacy of strength and kindness. She loved everyone that she met deeply. She had countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity. She was a cherished member of the community.
Darby was a devoted employee at Cracker Barrel in Flint Mi for over 20 years. She loved all her Cracker Barrel family. She truly was a mother to anyone who met her.
Darby’s life can best be encapsulated by four “F” words: Family, Friends, Flowers, and Fun.
Surviving are mother, Wilma Morgan;
children, Tiffany (Donald) Amaya, Rick (Rosalie) Nearing and Katie (Spencer) Miller;
grandchildren, Donny Amaya and Aiden Amaya, Ethan Dean and Noah Miller;
brothers, Joshua Alan Morgan, Brian (Andrea) Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her father, Irvin Morgan and husband, Richard Nearing
